Leaking roof repair in York and Yorkshire
Clear fault finding and roof repairs for water entering ceilings, walls, lofts and roof junctions.
Find the entry point, not just the visible stain.
Water can travel along underlay, rafters and masonry before it appears indoors. JDL Roofing checks the roof covering, flashings, valleys, chimney details and drainage so the repair addresses the source of the leak.

Common causes of a leaking roof
Slipped or cracked coverings, failed leadwork, damaged underlay, blocked outlets and worn flat-roof seams can all let water in. The fault may be several metres from the internal mark, particularly on pitched roofs.
How JDL Roofing approaches the repair
We inspect the affected room and the roof above it, then explain what has failed and what needs to be repaired. The quotation sets out the work, materials and any further investigation needed once coverings are lifted.
When the leak is urgent
Call the emergency line if water is entering near electrics, a ceiling is bulging, materials have fallen or storm damage has left the roof open. Do not climb onto a wet roof or disturb an unsafe ceiling.
Common questions.
Can a roof leak be repaired in wet weather?+
Safety and the roof condition come first. In some cases we can complete a temporary weatherproof repair, then return in suitable conditions for permanent work.
Why has the leak returned after an earlier repair?+
The visible damage may not have been the only entry point, or water may be travelling from another junction. A wider inspection helps identify related faults.
Do you repair commercial roof leaks?+
Yes. JDL Roofing assesses leaks on domestic and commercial roofs across York and Yorkshire.
